MAKING RENTAL INCOME FROM REAL ESTATE

For many, thinking of investing in Real Estate is a fantasy. It could be that the capital required for such huge purchases are not readily available; or that upon raising the said capital, one cannot leave it all “tied up”.

Below are some tips on making rental income from real estate investments:

Buy Rental Properties
There is no rule that says you have to live in a house because you own it, especially if you would make more money by letting or leasing the property. If you buy a house through a mortgage, your rental income on the property will help in offsetting your monthly payments.

Buy, Renovate, Resell
Dilapidated properties are more easily negotiated. If you get such at a price below regular market rates, you may consider renovating and reselling it at a profit.

House-sharing
So, you have a 5-bedroom duplex and you only make use of 2 rooms? Why not rent out the other rooms and make some extra income?
